Secondary School  Syllabus

 

The  Lower Secondary  Grade 6-8:

 

• Languages : English Literature/English Language/Sinhala, Tamil or French

• Religion  :  Buddhism/Christianity/Hinduism/Islam

• Core Subjects : Mathematics, General Science/ Social Sciences, History and Geography and  ICT

• Additional Subjects : Health, P.E., Art, Dancing, Western Music Eastern Music

 

The Upper Secondary Gr.9-10 follows: G.C.E. O/L

 

• Languages : English Literature or Art, English Language/Sinhala or Tamil

• Religion : Buddhism/Christianity/Hinduism/Islam

• Core Subjects : Mathematics/ Science &Technology/ History. Geography is optional

• Additional Subjects : Health & P.E./Business Accounting or French

 

 G.C.E.   A/Level

 

There are two streams in this syllabus.

 

Sciences

 

• Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and ICT

 

Commerce  

 

• Business Studies/Economics/Accounts/Commerce

 

Edexcel London Syllabus:

 

IGCSE (O Level) - International General Certificate of Secondary Education offers the  students two streams:

English Language and Mathematics are compulsory

compulsory

 

•  Sciences - Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Human Biology and ICT

•  Commerce - Accounts/Business Studies/Commerce/Economics and ICT

 

G.C.E. A Level -General Certificate of Education Advanced Level

 

A minimum of three subjects can be done.

 

•  Sciences Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Mathematics and ICT

 

Commerce- Business Studies, Accounting, Economics and ICT
