Pre-Primary Projects

 

Super Leader Programme.

 

We love our Super Leader Programme as it gives the children the opportunity to use their innate leadership talents, each month the Super Leaders are given a short training to develop their skills. What do Super Leaders do? They help their teacher by checking uniforms, making sure the classrooms are tidy and a very important part of their role is to greet people at the school gate every morning. They are also a role model for the other children.

 

Quiz Programme

 

Our monthly quiz is always fun, questions are set and teams of 5 are selected from each class. There are 4 rounds and the best team gains stars -the children love to take part - whether watching or answering the questions.

 

Cleaning Programme

 

We love our school and want to keep it at its best - once a month we have a special cleaning time. Everyone takes part, the coordinator, teachers and children. It keeps our school looking its best and supports the Super Leaders with their duties as well as instilling the need to keep our 'work area' tidy in us all.

 

Field Trips

 

Field Trips are organised to fun places like the Colombo Zoo and we also go on  Social Field Trips to the local Old People's Home and the Orphanage. These visits are popular with all parties, our children love to meet and listen to the older people talk about their lives, playing with the orphans as well as finding out about the differences in their lives. All these trips help the children either with their social or educational development as well as having fun.
